Hurricane & Storm Prep
Florida Hurricane Season is from June 1 through November 30th.
While you may be the best of friends with neighbor Larry who promises that he will take care of your home while you away; Larry may run out of time to put your hurricane shutters up as he has exhausted his time and efforts worrying about his own home and family in the event of a Hurricane.
Florida’s Premier Home Watch recommends that you take precautions and arrange for this service ahead of time to ensure your home is protected in a timely manner should a hurricane occur.
Those with manual panels; FPHW will only install the first floor of panels. Anyone with crank, electric or accordion will take priority.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO STRESS, THAT SAFETY AND HUMAN LIFE ALWAYS TAKES PRECEDENCE OVER ANY HOME. ARRANGE FOR THIS SERVICE AHEAD OF TIME.
A “dry run” will be required prior to hurricane season to ensure that there are no issues. Any issues, things needing repair and or replaced will be discovered at the time and leave adequate time to remedy. This will also give us an approximate time it will take to get your shutters in place and make sure they are labeled for correct placement.
Post Storm inspection:
After a storm has passed and we ensure that the staff is safe and able to travel, FPHW will conduct a post storm inspection. Should your property sustain any damage, we will take pictures/ document thoroughly and immediately notify you with the update. We can also provide contact information for emergency services that we work closely with should you need assistance with locating any particular vendors.
